EMBODYING FANTASTIKA - 8-10th August 2019, Lancaster University, UK
Embodying Fantastika took place at Lancaster University, UK, between 8-10th August. This conference aimed to define, challenge and debate conceptualisations of embodiment and sought to investigate how various bodily forms are addressed or ruptured across a myriad of canvases, whether it be through (re)construction, transposition or indeed destabilisation. The conference included keynotes from Prof. Sherryl Vint (University of California, Riverside, USA) and Dr. Sara Wasson (Lancaster University, UK), and welcomed 40 speakers across 17 panels. Thank you to all of the keynotes, speakers, attendees and volunteers who contributed to the conference.
